Our Approach to Project  and Programme Management

In today’s rapidly evolving business climate many companies rely on projects to bring about change. As those projects have grown in complexity and size, so has the scope of project management:.

Increasingly these projects are part of wider business change programmes as businesses seek to maximise the benefits derived from limited budgets.

These programmes build benefits as each project is delivered whilst allowing the flexibility to change the constituent parts to reflect changing priorities.

Add to this the increasing interest of key stakeholders, the management of which often falls to the project or programme manager,

and you have an increasing dependence on project and programme management skills. Transformis Consulting can help you minimise the risk this poses to your organisation.

Project/Programme Turnaround    (top)
Every month seems to bring forth another survey spelling out depressing statistics on how many programmes and projects are failing to deliver. There are a host of reasons why a project might be failing but the root cause is often a lack of recognition of the impact the project is having or will have on the wider business. This leads to resistance from stakeholders, many of whom may not even have been recognised as having that role by the project. Transformis Consulting have a tried and tested approach to putting troubled  projects and programmes back on the rails. Governance     (top)

A well defined governance structure is essential for the effective delivery of change. Clear roles, responsibilities, policies and standards provide the framework within which programme and project managers can operate. TCL have experience in:

Methodology    (top)

To some project managers the word 'methodology' conjures up visions of reams of needless documentation. To poor project managers it represents a crutch to get them through the day. But a good, experienced project manager recognises the value in the framework a methodology brings. It is a guide that can facilitate repeatable success and eliminate failure. For the inexperienced it provides guidance, but should never be followed by rote. TCL have experience in developing, tailoring and implementing many different methodologies, including PRINCE2. We also offer tailored training, because as our article 'Who Needs a Methodology' points out, its usually how a methodology is implemented that's the problem rather than the methodology itself.
