Security Risk A number of high profile terrorist attacks over the last ten years have brought the reality of international terrorism home to everyone. Organisations that have always had a responsibility for the security and safety of their employees are now under even more pressure to demonstrate how this requirement is being adequately met. Management need to be able to answer questions such as: · Which of our buildings are under the greatest security threat and why? · Who is allowed access to our facilities and how is this controlled and monitored? · How has our organisational security profile changed since the high profile organisation moved in next door? · When was the last time that staff and suppliers were vetted? · How much money do we spend on security management and how are we measuring its effectiveness?
TCL has developed a proprietary toolkit SRAssess which is designed to provide control and management information around the physical security risks facing an organisation. Once these risks have been catalogued, TCL help clients develop a prioritised action plan to address these. This service can be aimed at a specific security problem or concern within the client organisation or can be part of a larger organisational security review. Besides assessing your own facilities TCL, using SRAssess, can also assist in assessing external facilities or functions such as hotels, residences and corporate events. TCL has experience of conducting security consultancy assignments for both private and public sector organisations. David Loveless, one of TCL's directors is a long standing member of the premier security professional body ASIS International (formerly, the American Society for Industrial Security). In addition to physical security risk, TCL’s consultants have related practical experience in operational risk areas such as fraud awareness and investigation, property risk management, disaster recovery and business continuity planning.
